Since its inception in late 1999, Sipchem has witnessed excellent progress and development in all fields during its first decade of development. The two affiliates started under the Phase-I development, International Methanol Company (IMC) and International Diol Company (IDC) are successfully producing methanol and butanediol. Also, the three affiliates started under the Phase-II development, International Gases Company (IGC), International Acetyl Company (IAC),the International Vinyl Acetate Company(IVC) and have already started producing Carbon Monoxide, Acetic Acid and Vinyl Acetate Monomer.
As part of Phase-III, Sipchem established a new petrochemical company, namely, International Polymers Company (IPC) that will produce Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) and other downstream products.
Sipchem is in the process of establishing a corporate Product & Application Development
Centre [PADC] at the Dhahran Techno-Valley in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom that is planned to open in 2012.
Sipchem considers its employees as the most important asset. We have maintained our commitment to attract and retain talented individuals. At the same time, considerable effort goes into training the next generation to operate our company. Saudi employees now total 63% of the work force of the Company.
Sipchem has been placed among the top 10 companies with “Best Work Environment” in Saudi Arabia for three years in a row starting 2007 according to independent surveys. Sipchem aims to be the preferred employer that provides the best working environment in the region.
